It's probably trashed but you could try the old hairdryer trick... Just make sure the monitor is not plugged in and running while you try to dry ity out. And lay it flat on it's face to keep the water out of the transistors.

theres a scratch about 5cm long in the computers screen, its indended and black but nothing too serious. is using the PC or sitting in front of it doing any damage to the PC or the user?
It's not a problem at all, I am using a monitor that has been shot at with airsoft guns, and other than the black spots it works fine.

1997 Camry drivers side window works sometimes, often not.?
What is the most likely part that is failing, the master switch, motor or regulator? I checked the prices of all 3 parts at Toyota parts and the parts are expensive. Does the regulator just act as the linkage to lift & lower the window? I checked out the master control switch and the rocker switch for the drivers side window was worn out & had a lot of play in it. What is the sequence of the parts I should replace, master control switch, then motor?

If the motor works sometimes (both up and down) it's 99% likely that it's the switch. The switches often get rainwater in them and therefore corrode. I've gotten by with disassembling them and sanding up the contact points. However as years go by these contact points seem to get smaller and smaller (and harder to work on). While you have the door panel off, pull the wiring connections and try to clean them up and shoot with electric contact cleaner spray.
i use nero 7. i add my video files (mpeg) but from half way through it freezes (not responding) on me. i have to save my work and every video file i add after that i have to keep saving it. when all my files are added i have to load the whole lot up and then add my menus etc. i make sure i do not go over my limit and i always burn to a folder first and i then use avs dvd copy to burn it to disc so i don't keep wasting discs. when it freezes i have to use the task manager to close it down and then click on the saved icon to get it all back to carry on with what i was doing. at first i thought it might be my firewall or something. i used mcafee but that has now gone and use kaspersky. my laptop has recently been reset to factory so i know it's not crap bunging up my laptop. i have tried everything and i am stumped!! any ideas? thanks in advance

Recovery will not work on my laptop, need help please.?
Ok I just bought a used HP laptop 32 bit with Vista from a person, they said they did not make any recovery disks because this model laptop has whats called destructive recovery which recovers back to its factory settings if you need to.
But I also want to make disks just in case, so when I went to make some recovery disks I keep getting an icon that says error detected in dvd, so I changed to cds and it said the same thing.
So now I cannot figure out how to make the disks and the laptop is out of warrany and the HP folks won't help me.
Does anyone know how I can fix this please, thank you.
If the HP recovery media creation software is encountering an error when it attempts to verify the discs you have burned, then it is either because the burner itself is not burning properly, or you need to use better media... higher quality blank DVDs.
So, the first thing you do, is purchase better quality blank DVD-R media. Then, try again. I know... you said you already tried CDs. If it fails with better quality media, then you are left with only one other option. Call up HP tech support again, and purchase the HP Recovery media for your model laptop.
have a 97 dodge caravan with a 3.0 L and has a 3sp. Recently the speedometer and odometer went out when I swapped in a used tranny. Research indicates that it is most likely the speed sensor. Further research shows that it has an input sensor and output sensor. Figure it is the output sensor gone wrong. The non-Chilton book I have does not have tranny section so have no idea where the sensor is. Can someone give me the web address for diagrams where it is or at can at least give good directions where it can found.
