Oldsmobile Owners Where can I download an owners manual for a 1984 Cutlass Supreme?
Anyone know where I can download or at least view an Owners Manual for my new(old) 1984 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme. Or maybe a Chiltons, that would be good too!
Don't know about downloading one,.....you can probably find one on ebay for about $25.00

I have a 2007 Chev Impala 3.5L engine and I am going to install a add on Transmission Cooler. My Haynes manual does not indicate which transmission line to "disconnect"? There is 1 line going into the top of the rad and 1 line going into the bottom of the rad. Which line is the return line which is the line that I disconnect to install my cooler in series ?? I don't know for sure.
I believe the top line running from the radiator is the return line to the tranny.
It does matter which line you install the cooler in; it should be installed in the return line. This allows the transmission fluid to be warmed by the engine coolant so it reaches normal operating temperature as quickly as possible. Likewise, the warmed tranny fluid will help bring the coolant up to proper working temps. It may not seem like much of a big deal here in the summer months; it is when the snow flies and the colder it gets in your neck of the woods the more important it becomes. The transmission fluid will then have the additional cooling provided by the aux cooler before it returns to the transmission.
If you can swing it, the best way to mount the cooler is not to simply attach it to the front of the rad/AC condensor but to use/make some brackets to allow the cooler to be free standing in front of the radiator assembly. This prevents making a "hot spot" on the rad assembly as well as isolating the cooler from conductive heating from the radiator.
