Suburban Service Mobile phone reception in Thornbury (suburban Melbourne) Vic?
I'm with soul through optus and have just moved from the west side of thornbury near merri creek to the other side near station st. Now I get really crap coverage at home and my phone drops out in the middle of important calls! Can anyone recommend a carrier who provides reliable service in this area?
Telstra 'Next G' has no dropouts, crystal clear reception ect. I used to be with virgin and always had dropouts, it was so annoying but they are cheap. It seems you get what you pay for with them. Another company vodafone apparently have a class action law suit against them in Australia for poor service. Seems the pommy telcos can't get it right over here. Optus itself is ok, never had a problem but I'm with telstra now and have no reason to change. There are many, many smaller telcos(AAPT, Dodo, Crazy Johns ect.) but I have never had any experience with them. EDIT: @tent or whatever(person above/below me: Thornbury is only 10km from Melbourne C.B.D. LOL hardly a country area)

We live in suburban Washington, DC. How much should a half day of maid service cost for an average size house?
My neighbor has a group of ladies come once a month and she pays them about fifty dollars an hour. They work about three hours and clean the whole house. I left you a few links so you can call some of the ones available on your own. I think there are a few private people out there just doing a few places but sorry I don't know anyone personally. I live in the maryland side of the district. Don't know what it would be in Virginia. You might take estimates and then see what the cleaning involves.
Oldsmobile Olds How do I change a headlight bulb on a 1997 Oldsmobile Cutlass?
I am trying to help a friend of mine change his headlight bulb (just the bulb, not the whole assembly). He has a 1997 Olds Cutlass, and we're not sure how to gain access to the bulb. The headlight assembly has metal plates behind it, so we don't have direct access to the bulb. I've never come across a vehicle that doesn't offere easy direct access to the bulb. I'm thinking we're going to have to pull the whole headlight assembly forward in order to get to the bulb, but we're not exactly sure how.
Come to think of it, this also brings up the question: How many automotive novices does it take to change a headlight bulb?

On this car there is a bulkhead behind the headlight assembly which prohibits normal access to the bulbs. You need to remove the assembly from the front to get at the bulbs.
This is actually pretty easy and should be described in your owners manual. If you don't have that just look for two plastic tabs that push down from the top to secure the headlight assembly in place. Pull those up and the whole thing should slide right out. Then just reach for the bulb, give it a little turn and pull it out.

Power steering on a oldsmobile 74? How do i put it and where is the cheapest place to buy one?
Ok so im going to be the proud owner of an oldsmobile 74 omega problem with these old school cars you have to steer really hard so i want to add power steering so it can be just a little easier um how much do you think it will cost coming from junk yard and where is the cheapst place to purchase one.

The power steering of a later model may be the same, you would have to contact a recycle yard to get the answer, or a new parts auto store. Lots of components were used in different years by the same manufacturer. Try to Google a forum for your car, place in the field "Omega Forum" . You might find like minded gear heads to assist you in your quest.

I've owned and driven Mopars since I was 16. Forty years of product loyalty says something doesn't it. The first car I drove was a 1956 Desoto with an original Hemi and push button transmission. Since then I've owned most everything form a Plymouth Horizon to a 440 Challenger. Right now, I'm down to a 97 Dakota truck with only 156K miles on it.It looks pretty good except for the peeling paint on the roof.

Plymouth needed a beautiful icon, and it came with a pair of tail fins, 303-hp V8, chrome grill, gold accents and a sleek, angular body: the Plymouth Fury.
Debuting in 1956, the Fury ploughed into showrooms per consumer requests for an affordable and cultured vehicle. First available as a white-and-gold limited edition hardtop coupe, costing $2,866, the inaugural Fury could reach 110 mph in stock condition; a modified version blasted to 149 mph at Daytona Beach. The Fury was off to a fast start.
Plymouth decided to retain its "limited edition" concept and by the 1960 redesign, the Fury was available in a profusion of engine choices, ranging from the original 318 to the 145-hp Slant Six to the 330-hp 383. Construction was changed to a unibody frame. Several more trims, including the limited edition Turbo and Sport Fury, arrived over the next years as the Fury grew to a hefty $3,000.
Plymouth relabeled the Fury after the third generation arrival in 1965: the Fury I, II and III. The Fury I was popular with budget-conscious customers and police departments, while the II and II offered more creature comforts and styling. Furies also grew to a C-body (full-size) and featured five engine options. The grill underwent a transformation, losing chrome accents but gaining vertically stacked headlamps. By 1968, twenty-seven different configurations were available.
In 1966, the Plymouth VIP ("Very Important Plymouth") debuted as an alternative to traditional Chrysler chic. Equipped with deep pile carpet, reading lamps, plastic walnut trim, a vinyl roof and other implements, the Fury VIP also offered a 318 V8 power plant. Despite its high level of sophistication, the VIP could not get a constituency, and faded from the Plymouth lineup in 1969.
The fourth generation, labeled as "completely new," debuted in 1969. It was long, streamlined and uncluttered; it featured wide reclining benches, a cornucopia of engine choices and was available in coupe, sedan, convertible and station wagon body styles. It was more understated than its ancestors.
1971, a moment of historic sadness arrived when the 426 Hemi departed from the Fury lineup. But one year later, the new Gran Fury revived past pugnacity with its powerful V8, voluptuous styling and luxurious features. Amenities included electronic ignition, inside hood release and improved radio reception. In lieu of increased emission regulations, the Gran Fury was slightly domesticated by exhaust gas recirculation, evaporation control system and a lower octane rating. This was a new Fury, one that would last – in name if not in prowess – until 1989.
1975 brought the advent of the fifth-generation Fury and the diminishing of the Fury heritage. The Fury was downsized to a B-body platform and essentially became a restyled Plymouth Belvedere, lauded for its ergonomics and fuel efficiency. The Fury name was applied to a bundle of middling automobiles, while the Gran Fury struggled to retain its ancestry of power and performance.
After a one-year hiatus in 1979, the Fury name was brought back as a rebadged Chrysler Newport, which failed dismally. In 1982, the Fury heritage was again rejuvenated with a rebadged Dodge Diplomat, a favorite with taxi drivers and policemen but not consumers.
The Fury has lost its ferocity, replaced by a meek, mild and minute vehicle. Forty years later, its original 149-mph barrier hasn't been much improved.
